Theater, TV and Film
Mia is a self-proclaimed new play enthusiast. Over the past year, Mia originated roles in five new plays and performed in readings at The Atlantic Theater, The Tank, Dixon Place, Ars Nova Loft, and Pete's Candy Shop. This fall, she'll team up with 3-Legged Dog again to perform in a major new immersive installation at the Brooklyn Army Terminal called Doomocracy. Produced by Creative Time, "Doomocracy will occupy a vital moment in US history, offering the perfect platform and location to create real dialogue around the contemporary state of global and US politics."
In April 2016, Mia shot a featured role in the ABC pilot, Model Woman, starring Andie MacDowell. Based on Robert Lacey’s 2015 biography of Ford co-founder Eileen Ford, Mia played one of the models living in the Ford townhouse. She can also be seen in Funny Or Die's Billy on the Street with Billy Eichner, playing "Vogue Magazine" in a sketch airing this fall.
Mia recently shot a principal role in the short film Which Jessica, expected to enter the festival circuit later this fall. Currently, she's producing (and acting in) another short film scheduled to shoot mid-November. Adapted from an award-winning stage play, the script follows the subtle and unlikely friendship that grows between two isolated neighbors: Ellen, a compassionate but directionless minimum-wager, and her hermitic hall mate, Roderick.
