Mia Jessup is a writer and producer based in LA. She creates surreal, female-driven, dark comedies that blend satire and heart.
Her scripts explore contradictions around women’s rage, value, and connection — always through a lens that’s playful, feminist, and a little absurd. A Sundance Episodic Lab semifinalist and Austin Film Festival second rounder, her films have screened internationally at festivals including the Women in Comedy Festival presented by HBO, Palm Springs International Comedy Festival, Berlin Feminist Film Festival, and Toronto Sketchfest, with shorts featured on Elizabeth Banks’ WhoHaha.
